Description

Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta combines succulent shrimp with a rich garlic-infused cream sauce tossed with perfectly cooked spaghetti, creating a delicious and comforting Italian-inspired dish ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine

Shrimp

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti or linguine until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain the pasta and set it aside to keep warm.
  2. Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic to the skillet with the shrimp and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Add Cream: Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously. Let the mixture simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add Cheese and Seasoning: Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Combine and Serve: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy shrimp sauce. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute shrimp with scallops or chicken for variation.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
  • Parmesan cheese adds saltiness, so season carefully to taste.
  • Fresh parsley adds a bright freshness but can be skipped or replaced with basil.
