Dip Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 (14 oz) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Creamy Base: In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
  3. Add Vegetables and Cheese: Fold in the thawed and drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, grated Parmesan cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix thoroughly to ensure everything is evenly incorporated.
  4. Assemble in Baking Dish: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake the Dip: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top has turned golden brown.
  6. Cool and Garnish: Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes on top for a spicy kick.
  7. Serve: Serve the dip warm with your choice of tortilla chips, pita bread, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to thoroughly drain the spinach and artichokes to avoid a watery dip.
  • Softening the cream cheese beforehand helps to easily mix all ingredients smoothly.
  • You can prepare the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it; add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking cold.
  • For a lighter version, substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • Leftover dip can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
