Instructions

- Mix pumpkin layer: In a bowl, combine pumpkin purée, evaporated milk, eggs, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt until smooth. Pour into the baking dish.
- Add cake mix: Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pumpkin layer.
- Drizzle butter: Pour melted butter over the cake mix, covering it as much as possible.
- Optional topping: Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes until golden and set.
