Syrup:

Instructions
- Prepare Apples: Insert wooden sticks into the top of each apple. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it lightly.
- Make Syrup: In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Heat until sugar dissolves, then boil to 300°F without stirring.
- Dip Apples: Remove from heat, add food coloring if desired. Dip apples in syrup, let excess drip off, and place on the sheet to cool and harden.
- Package: Once set, place apples in cellophane bags and secure with a ribbon or twist tie.
