Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 12 slices provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)
Butter Mixture
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Au Jus
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1 cup water (for au jus)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prepare it for assembling the sliders.
- Prepare the Au Jus: Following the packet instructions, whisk the au jus gravy mix with 1 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the mixture thickens slightly, then keep warm on the stove.
- Assemble the Sliders: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish. Evenly layer the thinly sliced roast beef across the buns and top with provolone cheese slices. Place the top halves of the buns over the cheese and beef layers.
- Make the Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and chopped fresh parsley. Whisk well until fully blended.
- Brush with Butter Mixture: Generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the slider buns, ensuring even coverage for a rich and flavorful crust.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Serve: Carefully slice the sliders apart and serve them hot with the warm au jus dipping sauce on the side for dipping, enhancing each bite with savory goodness.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add caramelized onions or sautéed mushrooms to the sliders before baking.
- Use Hawaiian rolls for a slightly sweeter slider or classic slider buns for a more traditional taste.
- Keep the au jus warm to ensure the perfect dipping temperature when serving.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently to preserve freshness.
