Description

Delicious and easy-to-make salmon patties that are crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and bursting with flavor. This recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a tasty lunch option.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon Patties:

  • 1 (14.75 oz) can salmon (drained, bones removed)
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter (for frying)
  • lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine drained salmon, egg, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, onion, parsley, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  2. Form Patties: Form the mixture into 6–8 patties, pressing gently to hold shape.
  3. Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook patties in batches for 3–4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Serve: Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Serve warm with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh cooked salmon for canned if desired.
  • For a gluten-free version, use almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Great served with a dollop of tartar sauce or a side salad.
