Ingredients

Scale

Bread Bowls:

  • 4 small round bread rolls (sourdough or crusty rolls work best)

Spaghetti Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti
  • 1½ cups marinara sauce
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Bread Bowls: Slice the tops off the bread rolls and hollow out the centers. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Toast in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Prepare Spaghetti Filling: Mix cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. Fill bread bowls with spaghetti mixture and top with mozzarella.
  4. Bake: Bake the filled bread bowls for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use leftover spaghetti for a quick shortcut.
  • For a meatier version, add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage to the spaghetti.
  • The bread tops can be toasted and served as dipping pieces on the side.
