Bread Bowls:
- 4 small round bread rolls (sourdough or crusty rolls work best)
Spaghetti Filling:
- 2 cups cooked spaghetti
- 1½ cups marinara sauce
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Bread Bowls: Slice the tops off the bread rolls and hollow out the centers. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Toast in the oven for 5–7 minutes.
- Prepare Spaghetti Filling: Mix cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese. Fill bread bowls with spaghetti mixture and top with mozzarella.
- Bake: Bake the filled bread bowls for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use leftover spaghetti for a quick shortcut.
- For a meatier version, add cooked ground beef or Italian sausage to the spaghetti.
- The bread tops can be toasted and served as dipping pieces on the side.
