Description

Peanut Butter Blossoms are classic holiday cookies featuring a soft peanut butter base topped with a sweet chocolate Kiss in the center. These cookies are perfect for festive gatherings or as a special treat any time of the year.

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Additional:

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar for rolling
  • 36 Hershey’s Kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Form Dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and coat each ball in granulated sugar.
  5. Bake: Place the dough balls on the baking sheets and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden. Press a chocolate Kiss into the center of each cookie immediately after removing from the oven.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
