Puff Pastry:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
Nutella Filling:
- ½ cup Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread
Egg Wash:
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon milk
Additional:
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Optional chopped hazelnuts for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles or squares.
- Add the filling: Spread Nutella on one half of each piece, fold over, and press edges to seal.
- Brush with egg wash: Whisk the egg with milk and brush the pastries.
- Bake: Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Finish and serve: Dust with powdered sugar, sprinkle with hazelnuts, and serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can add sliced bananas or strawberries with the Nutella for a fruity twist.
- Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp texture.
