Description

This hot spinach artichoke dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer that’s perfect for parties or cozy nights in. Featuring a blend of cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, artichokes, and spinach, it bakes to golden perfection and is best served warm with your favorite chips, crackers, or bread.

Ingredients

Scale

Dip Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 6 ounces frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

Instructions

  1. Preheat and combine: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a medium bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add flavor and mix-ins: Stir in the minced garlic, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, chopped artichoke hearts, and thoroughly drained spinach. Mix everything until well combined.
  3. Prepare to bake: Transfer the dip mixture into a 1-quart baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  4. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and heated through with a lightly golden top.
  5. Serve warm: Remove from oven and serve immediately while warm, accompanied by sliced baguette, crackers, or tortilla chips for dipping.

Notes

  • Make sure to squeeze out excess water from thawed spinach to avoid a watery dip.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking; just add 5 extra minutes to bake time if cold from the fridge.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, but garlic powder can be substituted if needed.
  • To keep the dip warm longer, place it in a slow cooker set on low after baking.
  • For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and sour cream.
