Description

These Garlic Parmesan Herb Cruffins are a delightful savory pastry that combines the flavors of garlic, Parmesan cheese, and herbs in a flaky, golden-brown roll. Perfect as a side dish or appetizer, these cruffins are sure to impress your guests with their delicious taste and beautiful presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or puff pastry, thawed)

Garlic Herb Butter:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 6-cup muffin tin.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface and pinch the seams together to form a single sheet.
  3. Make the garlic herb butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble the cruffins: Brush the garlic herb butter mixture evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Roll the dough tightly into a log, slice it in half lengthwise, twist each half into a spiral, and coil into a muffin cup, cut-side up.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tin. Serve warm.

Notes

  • These cruffins are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes.
  • For variety, try adding shredded mozzarella or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • These cruffins pair well with marinara sauce or served alongside a warm soup.
