Instructions

  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine and Bake: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers are still soft.
