Sauce & Seasoning
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Press the tofu: Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture, which helps it crisp up when cooked.
- Heat oil: Warm 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat to prepare for sautéing.
- Sauté aromatics: Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Cook tofu: Add the cubed tofu to the pan and cook until all sides are golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Stir-fry vegetables: Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Add sauce: Pour in 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and mix well to evenly coat tofu and vegetables.
- Final cooking: Continue cooking for another 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Garnish and serve: Sprinkle 1 tablespoon sesame seeds over the stir-fry before serving to add a nutty crunch.
