For the Dough:

  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • For Frying:

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Make the Curry Filling: Heat oil and sauté onions, add meat, potatoes, carrots, and seasonings. Thicken with flour and water. Cool.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Combine milk and yeast, add sugar, egg, butter, flour, and salt. Knead, rise for 1 hour.
  3. Assemble and Fry: Divide dough, fill with curry mixture, shape, coat in egg and breadcrumbs, then fry until golden brown.
