Scale
Main Ingredients
- 8 ounces Pasta (Choose your favorite type)
- 1 pound Shrimp (Fresh or frozen, peeled and deveined)
- 8 ounces Mushrooms (Sliced, any variety like button or cremini)
- 4 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 cup Cream (Can substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy alternatives)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Can use butter for different flavor)
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese (Sprinkled on top for extra flavor)
- 1 cup Fresh Spinach (Optional, can swap with kale or omit)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add your favorite pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté Garlic: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Cook Mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté them for 5-7 minutes until they turn golden brown and tender.
- Add Shrimp: Place the peeled and deveined shrimp into the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
- Make Cream Sauce: Lower the heat and gently stir in the cream. Let it simmer for a few minutes, thickening the sauce slightly.
- Toss Pasta in Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat each strand evenly with the creamy sauce. Heat through for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve and Garnish: Plate the pasta and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Add fresh spinach on top if using for a touch of color and nutrition.
Notes
- You can substitute cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative like coconut cream for a lighter or dairy-free option.
- Butter can be used instead of olive oil for a richer flavor when sautéing.
- Feel free to swap spinach with kale or omit it according to your preference.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
- Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender and juicy.
