Description

These Crab Crescent Bites are a delightful appetizer featuring a creamy crab filling wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for entertaining or as a tasty snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Rolls:

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Cream Cheese Filling:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cooked lump crab meat, drained and picked over
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, crab meat, green onion, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley until well combined.
  3. Assemble the bites: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Place a heaping teaspoon of the crab mixture on the wide end of each triangle, roll up, and tuck in the sides slightly to seal.
  4. Bake: Place the rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 11–13 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute imitation crab if preferred.
  • Add a dash of hot sauce for a spicy variation.
  • For mini appetizers, use crescent dough sheets cut into smaller squares.
