Description

Indulge in the rich, chocolatey goodness of these fudgy Chocolate Berry Bars. Packed with mixed berries and chocolate chips, these bars are a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bars:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed berries, fresh or frozen (blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries)
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mix until combined.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Add Berries and Chocolate: Gently fold in the berries and chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Slice: Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • If using frozen berries, do not thaw before adding to the batter.
  • For extra indulgence, drizzle with melted white chocolate after cooling.
