Chicken:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. Make Sauce: Sauté ginger and garlic, add soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili garlic sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  3. Combine: Return chicken to the pan, toss in the sauce, cook for another 1–2 minutes. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
  4. Serve: Hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add crushed red pepper or more chili garlic sauce.
  • This recipe is also delicious with tofu or shrimp.
