Bread Bowls:

  • 4 small round bread boules or large dinner rolls
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Chicken Alfredo Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast (shredded or chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F. Slice the tops off the bread bowls and hollow out the centers, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.
  2. Prepare garlic butter: Mix melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush the inside of each bread bowl with the garlic butter mixture.
  3. Bake the bread bowls: Place the bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.
  4. Make the Alfredo sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté garlic, add heavy cream and milk, simmer, whisk in Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until slightly thickened.
  5. Prepare the filling: Stir in the cooked chicken and mozzarella, cook until warmed through and melty.
  6. Fill the bread bowls: Remove bread bowls from the oven and fill each with the creamy chicken Alfredo mixture.
  7. Serve: Garnish with parsley or Parmesan and serve immediately.
