Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Blueberry Cinnamon Roll Casserole featuring soft cinnamon roll pieces baked with fresh blueberries and a buttery brown sugar glaze, finished with a sweet icing drizzle. Perfect for a comforting breakfast or brunch dish that combines the flavors of cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit in a warm, satisfying casserole.

Ingredients

Scale

Blueberry Cinnamon Roll Casserole Ingredients

  • 1 can Pillsbury Grands! Cinnamon Rolls (including icing packet)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup blueberries (fresh or thawed frozen, drained)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C) and spray a 9-inch round or square baking pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Cinnamon Rolls: Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate them. Keep the icing packet aside for later. Cut each cinnamon roll into 6 pieces and arrange these pieces evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  3. Add Blueberries: Evenly sprinkle the blueberries over and in between the cinnamon roll pieces, distributing the fruit throughout the casserole for balanced flavor.
  4. Make Butter Sugar Mixture: In a small bowl, mix together the melted unsalted butter and packed brown sugar until well combined. Pour this mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces and blueberries to create a sweet glaze during baking.
  5. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown on top and cooked through.
  6. Apply Icing and Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and immediately drizzle the reserved icing packet over the hot casserole. Let it sit for a few minutes to set slightly before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed frozen blueberries, ensuring they are well drained to prevent excess moisture in the casserole.
  • Adjust baking time slightly based on your oven; look for a golden brown top and cooked through center.
  • You can substitute the butter with a dairy-free alternative to make it lactose-free if desired.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg over the blueberries before adding the butter mixture.
  • Serve warm for best texture and flavor, pairing well with coffee or tea.
