A delicious and creamy Beef and Rotini pasta dish cooked in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner with easy and quick preparation.
Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 12 ounces rotini pasta
Beef and Sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook the rotini pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water for later use.
- Brown Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Make Sauce: Reduce the heat to medium and stir in the heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3 to 4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the cooked rotini pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. Use the reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce to your preferred consistency.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve the creamy beef and rotini warm for a comforting meal.
Notes
- For extra flavor and nutrients, add sautéed mushrooms or fresh spinach to the sauce.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan cheese for the creamiest and most flavorful sauce.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently on the stovetop or microwave.
