Ingredients
Scale
Steak Bites
- 16 oz top sirloin filet, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ tablespoon (8g) olive oil
- ½ tablespoon (6g) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons (21g) butter
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¼ teaspoon parsley flakes
Instructions
- Toss steak bites with olive oil: Place the bite-sized top sirloin pieces in a bowl and toss them well with ½ tablespoon of olive oil until evenly coated to help the seasoning stick.
- Prepare seasoning mix: In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, kosher salt, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing thoroughly.
- Coat steak with seasoning: Evenly coat all the steak pieces with the seasoning mixture, ensuring each piece is well covered. Set aside while you preheat the air fryer.
- Preheat air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat for 5 minutes for optimal cooking temperature.
- Arrange steak bites: Place the seasoned steak pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and browning.
- Air fry steak bites: Cook at 400°F for 4 to 6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking. Adjust cook time based on your desired doneness—less time for medium-rare, more for well done.
- Prepare garlic butter sauce: While the steak cooks, melt the butter in a small bowl. Stir in garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and parsley flakes until fully combined.
- Toss steak bites in garlic butter: Once cooked, transfer steak bites to the bowl with garlic butter and toss thoroughly to coat each piece evenly with the flavorful sauce.
- Serve: Serve the steak bites hot, optionally garnished with additional parsley flakes for color and fresh herb flavor.
Notes
- Adjust the air frying time based on steak thickness and your preferred doneness.
- Use top sirloin or similarly tender steak cuts for best texture.
- For a spicier kick, increase red pepper flakes in the garlic butter sauce.
- These steak bites pair well with a side salad, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes.
- Let the steak bites rest a few minutes after cooking if you prefer juicier bites.
